MJ’s Easy Blueberry Crumble

 

This is just about the easiest thing you can do with blueberries, well, except eat them out of hand or on your cereal or salad.  Definitely best right out of the oven with or without a dollop of cream, but not bad warmed up the next day either!

 

Servings: 8

 

Ingredients:

4-5 cups  blueberries

2 tsp cinnamon

1 TBSP lemon juice

 

Crumble:

3/4 cup brown sugar

3/4  cup flour

3/4 cup uncooked oats

6 tbsp butter

 

Directions:

Place blueberries in a 2 quart baking dish, spread out evenly.  Sprinkle the cinnamon and lemon juice.   Combine remaining ingredients with a pastry blender or fork, and sprinkle over blueberries.

 

Bake for 35 mins at 350 degrees

 

NOTE: MJ uses half this amount of crumble for one pan.  She keeps the other half in the frig for a future crumble.

 

Another Note: if you are using frozen berries, be sure to thaw completely and drain the extra juice.
