I can’t stop making quilts from Kaffe Fassett fabrics! This latest one is for an upcoming class at The Sewing Studio, the pattern is called ‘Block Talk’ And a day at the beach means I can get some pretty pictures.

QUILT EXHIBIT IN SARASOTA
South Sarasota Modern Quilt Guild: Playing with a Modern Deck

Modern quilt deck of 54 original quilted playing cards will be displayed in the Crescendo Gallery
Exhibit of South Sarasota Modern Quilt Guild www.southsarasotamodernquiltguild.com
Members of the South Sarasota Modern Quilt Guild were challenged to create a unique and modern quilt to represent 54 cards in a deck of cards. There were limits on size, color palette, but no limits on quilting technique. The playing card idea was inspired by a traveling exhibition curated by the Smithsonian “Full Deck Art Quilts” (1995). Our own modern twist!

QUILT SHOW IN PUNTA GORDA
The 14th Biennial Quilt Festival, “Gathering of Quilts” will be held at the Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center,75 Taylor Road, Punta Gorda, Florida on February 18 and 19, 2022 from 9 AM to 4PM. The Judged Quilt is presented by the Disconnected Piecers Quilt Guild of Port Charlotte, FL and will feature over 200 quilts. It will also include a Quilters Boutique, Merchant Mall, Quilters Auction and Demonstrations. Our Raffle Quilt, "Under the Sea, a Snail Trail Al Fresco" Free parking and Buses Welcome.
