a quilt I finished recently. I used
Nancy Mahoney’s Twisted Logs pattern, and with the leftover cut offs, I made
the improv border. Foundation paper
pieced center. I love 2 color quilts, as
long as I can use a bunch of different fabrics!
I’ve been lucky enough to sew for a few hours most days since I got home (from 9.5 weeks away), and it amazes me how much I’m able to accomplish! I’m not a happy finisher….I’d rather be dreaming up new projects… but I’m working hard to finish up a whole bunch of quilts, a dress(!), 10 napkins, 2 needlepoint pillows, 2 tablerunners, and probably a few things I’ve already forgotten. It does feel good! And then I can start a few new projects with absolutely no guilt, lol.
I bet you know the feeling!?!?
The quilt shop Tomorrow’s Treasures in Ocala, FL is closing. Everything in the shop is at a discount including machines. Our estimated closing date is December 16th.

We are so fortunate to have internationally famous and award-winning Susan Cleveland coming
to share her amazing accuracy, tips, tricks and design techniques. We had to break it up into
two classes to fit it all in! We will be learning precision piecing (which starts with precision
cutting), how to work with heavy thread in many ways, piping, embellishing, creative quilting
and many bindings.
In her own words – “My enthusiasm for quilting is said to be contagious! In classes, I work
toward keeping an upbeat setting, providing well-written instructions, and attending to each
student with personalized coaching. My quilts have received MANY awards in international
competitions since 1997 where judges comment on fine workmanship and original style. With
unique designs I’m thrilled to include charming, unexpected elements such as specialty threads,
prairie points, piping, and great binding techniques. I invented the Groovin’ Piping Trimming
Tool which is used to trim piping seam allowances and the Prairie Pointer pressing tool. In 2010
I was delighted to be named Minnesota Quilter of the Year!”

from Sept. 14 to Sept. 16. This is the most ever. Our volunteers are
working hard to get the final details ready, including take-in day on Saturday,
