Quilting Friends,

  A colorful quilt with rectangles

Description automatically generated  (click to enlarge)  I love this Picnic pattern  from Cluck Cluck Sew. At my latest online Tips Tools & Techniques Club, I chat about how I chose the colors and how to square up a quilt that is ‘on point’.  Forgive the very beginning, I talked for like 10 minutes before we realized I wasn’t live.  So I started again.  Oops!

Have you heard of the organization called Loose Ends?  They are matching up loved one’s unfinished projects with caring volunteers who can help.  All types of work from quilting and knitting to felting and weaving.  Anything with fiber it looks like.  What a great idea!  If you would like to help finish projects that were left undone by death or illness, please sign up!  They have matched more than 1200 projects to volunteer finishers in their first year.

One more thing: I’ve been asked in the past WHERE one can rent time on a longarm machine.   Bold Notion Quilting in Brooksville FL has a program for that!  Once you get certified, the price per hour is reasonable.  Check her out, and tell Lauren I sent you!

Happy Quilting,

 Mary-Jeanine

PS: I’d love to hear from you, so drop me a line sometime.
