in March I drove down to Jupiter to take a class with Australian Rachaeldaisy. She is such a treasure
and the class was such a treat! This
quilt is Razzamatazz
and its got lots of my favorite details: ric-rac, yo-yos, ribbon candy FMQ in
the borders, flange binding, all my favorite colors, my MJ Flower FMQ,
etc. Here it is hanging at QuiltFestJax
in September and I’m glad its home now to enjoy.

Cabinet (Bertha, retail $1600) and additional Bernina embroidery equipment and
storage. This work horse machine belonged to our beautiful Mom who passed away
a few months ago. She took excellent care of her Bernina and crafted many
quilts for her children, grandchildren and many more people she loved. The

MYSTERIOUS SEWING SOCIETY CLUB
This new and exciting monthly club will begin Nov 15, 2023 and continue each month on the 15th. You will receive a mystery box containing a
FULLY CUT quilt kit. Each clue will
include the directions, and in some cases, a video of instruction.
There will be new and fun quilt-y treats included;
maybe a ruler, maybe a trinket or book or other new items. Four times during the year, you will also
receive a backing for your quilt..how fun is that! Each quilt
will be between child/throw and twin size and a total mystery. Limited quantities are available.

Don’t miss the Mysterious Sewing Society RETREATS
twice a year also:
March 9, 2024 (retreat #5) and September 9,
2024 (retreat #6)
These retreats are held at the Carlisle Inn on Bahia Vista
Blvd in Sarasota. They are a one day affair from 8:30 AM until 8:30 PM (check with the
hotel if you wish to stay overnight).
When you sign up, you will be given the fabric requirements and cutting
directions and added to a private facebook group so you can be ready to sew
that day. Space is limited and fills up
quickly. The last retreat had 52 people
in house (each with a private table) and 10
online. Bring your tribe of quilters; it
was huge fun. Lots of exciting door
prizes are provided by assorted supplies.
It is a mystery using your own fabric….clear
the stash!

QUILT SHOW IN VENICE
The Venice Area Quilters Guild will hold its 20th biennial quilt show on Saturday,
March 2 from 9-5 and on Sunday, March 3 from 10-4 at the Venice Community
Center, 326 S. Nokomis Avenue, Venice, FL.
The show features over 200 beautiful quilts of
all styles, a giant boutique with handmade gift items, a gorgeous raffle quilt,
daily silent auctions of small quilts to benefit the South County Food Pantry, tea room and much more. Admission is $10 for both
days.
