I was looking for a new pattern to teach Machine Applique,
and I saw this made up at a shop this summer.
Perfect! Makes a great tablerunner or wall hanging or use just one flower for a
placemat. The pattern is Bloomers from
Bella Nonna Design Studio.
Whoa, hang on, do you see that newsletter number up
there? I can hardly believe it
myself…300 months of newsletters, which puts the beginning of this journey in
January of 1999. 25 years of
publishing this newsletter! When I
began, my thought was to simply connect quilt guild program chairs so we could
share national teachers. To bring them
to Florida was expensive for one guild, but do-able if we could share travel
expenses. About 10 years in, my husband
built the first FQN
website as a surprise Christmas gift (!), and soon after Pat Tribby asked
if I’d take over her website list of Florida quilt shops and guilds.
Once I began speaking and teaching around Florida in 2012, I
was able to add emails to the distribution, and now we’re at about 5000
readers. (I’d love to speak/teach at
your guild, lets
talk! If I’ve been there before, I
bring a whole new batch of quilts and quick projects each time)
I can now say confidently that this newsletter lists most
every quilting event in Florida. I hope
you get value from this little endeavor.
I am all about communication in one form or another, and I’m glad I can
bring all these bits of news about quilting in Florida to you in one place!

Home-Pro Table including a batting bar and wheels. It is approximately 10 years
old and has been lightly used on my quilt projects. The set-up includes a
computerized robotic product called Qbot included in

addition the table has a Light bar with LED tubes and aluminum extruded
mounting. Many extras included with the sale including additional feet, thread,
long-arm rulers, needles, laser beam, Gammill Quilt Clips (for floating quilt),
